Steve came into the Insurance & Securities industry after the passing of his father about 15 years ago. As Steve’s father was a CPA and financial planning executive at Xerox Corporation for years, when he passed, Steve learned that his father had focused most of his efforts planning for the company, rather than what’s needed in family or generational wealth-planning.
It was then that Steve wanted to focus on learning about insurance and financial planning so that he could change the trajectory of his family’s financial future. At the time, Steve’s daughter was turning 18 years old, and he figured that the best way to acquire a base of knowledge that he needed to teach her – was to enter the field himself!
Steve first joined an independent insurance brokerage in 2014, learning about the various types of life insurance… then he was recruited to join AXA/ Equitable in 2017 in Southern California.
Working with Hemant Sachdev in Southern California, and having acquired and expanded his securities licenses, Steve enjoyed success working with and helping his former clients and contacts that he’d met through the years. Steve learned of disability insurance through personal experience, having challenges with kidney disease. As Hemant moved to Orlando, he urged Steve to do the same!
Steve moved to Central Florida and received a kidney transplant at the Mayo Clinic in Florida in 2025 and has returned to Equitable! Steve has now joined the NxtGen Advisory Group to continues to serve and grow his client’s wealth and financial resources.
Completing the “circle of purpose” in entering this field years ago, Steve’s daughter has now recently joined Equitable in Texas and has her sights set on joining NxtGen Advisory Group in 2029! In his spare time, Steve enjoys spending time with friends and family and occasionally swatting golf balls on the driving range.
